    Importing and Exporting

    There are many ways to import your existing bookmarks. You can do that from the website/app or the extension. Let's see the steps for the website/app.

    • Export your current bookmarks from the browser as an HTML file.
    • From the User page, click the Tools button.
    • Click " Import/Export Links."
    • A window will open, with an option to upload your HTML file.
    • Upload your bookmark HTML file, and your bookmarks will be saved on CarryLinks.

    Some browsers, such as FireFox, might group all the user's bookmarks (links and folders) in one top-level folder. To retain the folder tree as it was in the browser, follow these steps:

    • Import the links from the HTML file (it is OK for now if all the bookmarks/folders are in one top/parent folder).
    • Click the top/parent folder that was created.
    • Click the three dots for "Current Folder Options" in the side navigation bar.
    • Click " Move Subfolders to Top Level."

    • Install the CarryLinks extension for your preferred web browser.
    • Log in to your CarryLinks account from the extension.
    • Click the button next to the search bar.
    • Click " Import From Bookmarks" to see a list of all your bookmarks.
    • Click "Save".

    • Click " Add Links From Clipboard."
    • Type or paste text with embedded links (e.g., from an MS Word file, email, website, HTML code, etc.).
    • Click "View" to see all links.
    • Optionally, write a folder name.
    • Click "Save".

    You can import bookmarks from the browser's history via our extension.

    • Install the CarryLinks extension for your preferred web browser.
    • Log in to your CarryLinks account from the extension.
    • Click the button next to the search bar.
    • Choose " Import From History" to see a list of all links in your browser history.
    • Choose which ones to save or save them all.

    Yes, you can easily export your bookmarks from CarryLinks:

    • From the User page, click the Tools button.
    • Click " Import/Export Links."
    • Click "Export" and then "Download".
    • All links will be saved in an HTML file.
